چکیده

Late-season heat stress (LSH) is a limiting factor for wheat production. Besides, low zinc and poor protein diet usually problem in low-income countries. The primary calorie source such countries prepared from bread. This study aims to mitigate by nitrogen application improve content grain. We did the field experiments as split-split-plot based on randomized complete block design with four replications assess nitrogen’s possible mitigation effect LSH enrichment of grain during two years. Factors included delay planting date (optimum, late, very late) main plot, (0, 75, 150, 225 kg ha–1) subplots, 10, 20 sub-subplots. measured yield, yield components, physiological traits, zinc, contents Results showed that highest relative water cell-membrane thermal stability were attained at optimum date, 150 N ha–1 Zn ha–1. maximum chlorophyll carotenoids cells recorded ha–1, Heat reduced yield. In second year experiment, number per unit area was more than first year; however, achieved owing higher mean weight. Nitrogen decreased adverse effects increasing number. Zinc diminished impact biological hectolitre weight Meanwhile, it increased protein. general, under LSH, can reduce quality quantity.

Combined effect of iron and zinc on micronutrient levels in wheat (Triticum aestivum L.).

A nutrient solution experiment was conducted to investigate the effect of Fe and Zn supply on Fe, Zn, Cu, and Mn concentrations in wheat plants. The experiment used a factorial combination of two Fe levels (0 and 5 mg l(-1)) and three Zn levels (0, 0.1 and 10 mg I(-1)). The supply of Fe (5 mg l(-1)) and Zn (0.1 mg l(-1)) increased plant dry weight and leaf chlorophyll content compared to the Fe...

Interactive Effect of Foliar Application of Nitric Oxide (no) and Salinity on Wheat (triticum Aestivum L.)

The present experiment was conducted to assess the interactive effect of foliar application of nitric oxide (NO) and salinity on wheat (Triticum aestivum L.). Wheat cv. S-24 was grown under non-stressed or salt stressed conditions (0 and 150 mM NaCl). Different levels of NO (water spray, 0.05, 0.10 and 0.15 mM) were applied as a foliar spray. Salinity applied through rooting medium significantl...

The wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) leaf proteome.

The wheat leaf proteome was mapped and partially characterized to function as a comparative template for future wheat research. In total, 404 proteins were visualized, and 277 of these were selected for analysis based on reproducibility and relative quantity. Using a combination of protein and expressed sequence tag database searching, 142 proteins were putatively identified with an identificat...

Effect of Mycorrhizal Colonization on Nitrogen and Phosphorous Metabolism in Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) under Water Deficit Stress

Mycorrhiza is a symbiotic association between a group of soil fungi called arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi and plants. The successful association between plants and AMF constitutes a strategy to improve the nutritional status of both associates, which reduces the use of fertilizers specially phosphorus nutrition (Almagrabi and Abdelmoneim, 2012). The AMF take carbohydrates compounds from their pla...
